DaiMon Taar is the commander of the Ferengi Marauder which the Enterprise encountered in early 2364. Taar was the first Ferengi Starfleet had encountered, and was believed responsible for theft of a T9 Energy Converter from Gamma Tauri IV.

Leter, Mordok and Kayron comprised the Ferengi landing party who met with a party from the Enterprise on Delphi Ardu where they encountered a Portal left over from the T'Kon Empire. The three Ferengi tried to turn portal against the humans after ambushing them and stealing their commbadges.

Portal 63 is the last remaining evidence of the once vast T'Kon Empire. Portal had been in a deep stasis for nearly 600,000 years until awakened by the arrival of the Enterprise and a Ferengi Marauder.
