The omnipotent annoyance Q visited the Enterprise for the second time in 2364 and offered Commander Riker the power of the Q. Q's true motives in this endeavour were not clearly understood, but it is thought he was trying to further the Continuum's knowledge of humanity. Either way, Riker refused Q's offer and the Enterprise was left to continue her mission.

Quadra Sigma III is a Federation Mining Colony which suffered a disaster in 2364. The Enterprise responded to a distress call and helped several survivors at the disaster-site.
