Argyle was one of the Chief Engineers on the Enterprise in 2364. He oversaw the reconstruction of the Android Lore when it was discovered on Data's home planet.

Humanoid Andriod constructed by Dr. Noonien and Juliana Soong. Lore was discovered on Omicron Theta in 2364 but soon exhibited sadistic behaviour when he took on the form of Data and tried to lure the deadly Crystalline Entity to the Enterprise. Lore was subsequently beamed into space when his treachery was discovered.
