Behind the Scenes
|
Actor Richard Mulligan of
"Soap" and "Empty Nest" was originally
cast to play the
alien, but when he declined, the alien was named in honor
- Mulligan in reverse - Nagillum. |

|
The USS Yamato was
designed as a tip of the hat to the original Star
Blazer's flagship. |

|
Winrich Kolbe
directs TNG for the first time in this instalment, and was
very disappointed that he got such a bottle-show. In fact,
the only scene that took place off the Enterprise was on
the sister ship, which just happened to use the Enterprise
sets as well. |

The
autodestruct sequence is seen here again, albeit with a
flexible countdown (see "11001001").
However, it will not be used again through TNG. |
If you have some more behind the scenes information,
send it
in.
