Behind the Scenes
|
The episode was
originally entitled "Send in the Clones". Personally, I
prefer it to the one we got. |
|
|
|
The episode was intended
to take a harsh look at immigration and the "we don't want
them here" mentality, but rewrites and budget cuts forced
the episode to change tone. |

Prop master
Alan Sims' wife appears as the pregnant Bringloidi, and
ironically all of the goats featured were bred by Sims. |
|
|
|
Okudograms
featured on Picard's Ficus-search include mention of the
S.S. Buckaroo Banzai and a mission assignment to Commander
Gene Roddenberry to "explore strange new worlds". |

The computer
readout on the Mariposa contains the information that ship
is a DY-500 class vessel owned by the OCC and launched on
Nov 27, 2123 with UN registry NAR-7678. Of course, the
DY-500 class is a tip of the hat to original Trek's "Space
Seed" and Star Trek II. |
If you have some more behind the scenes information,
send it
in.
