Data to inform the colonists of an impending Sheliak threat, McKenzie gathered support to challenge the ideas of Gosheven and convince fellow colonists to evacuate. McKenzie became extremely fond of Data, but he was unable to reciprocate on an emotional level.

Leader of the Tau Cygna V colony in 2366. Gosheven was unwilling to consider evacuation of the Tau Cygna colony after Lt. Cmdr. Data informed him of an imminent Sheliak attack. He even physically attacked Data to get his point across.
