The Alpha Omicron system has not yet been charted and is giving off an asymmetrical field of intense energy with no radiation signature. There are at least seven planets orbiting Alpha Omicron.
	The space lifeform is a mass of plasma energy contained within discrete boundaries by an outer covering of silicates, actinides, and carbonaceaous chondrites. It feeds on Kefnium and attacks with radiation, communicating by radio waves. The asteroid field where the lifeforms inhabit include large quantities of meklinite which interferes with the Enterprise's sensors.
	The Enterprise is approaching Starbase 313, where they are due to pick up a shipment of scientific equipment for a Federation outpost in the Guernica System.
	Circassian cats are notoriously unfriendly.
	The Enterprise measures small speeds in kph.
	Everything in space vibrates in a 21cm wave length radiation band. The radiation given off by the ship can be changed.
	Leah Brahms designed the power transfer conduits on the Enterprise (see "Booby Trap").
	Geordi makes a great fungilli, but writing isn't one of his stronger points.
