Picard has been asked to deliver this year's Starfleet Academy Commencement Address.
	Wesley's flight team performed the Kolvoord Starburst maneuver near Saturn and it's moon Titan. The pictures were due to be relayed back to the watching dignitaries at the Academy.
	Picard's Academy Superintendent was a Betazoid. He was called to his office a number of times. Riker's was a Vulcan.
	Picard comes from the class of '27 (see "Final Mission") and has a keen interest in horticulture which has apparently been acquired over the years.
	Picard fought a wrestling match with a Ligonian (see "Code of Honor").
	Boothby remembers an unexpected Parrises Squares tournament victory over Binsk in the final. Nova Squadron have apparently received similar celebration when they won the Rigel cup.
	Wesley is allergic to metorapan treatment and needs a bicaridine substitute Beverly has been working on a new rybotherapy.
	The single seater spacecraft Nova Squadron use are capable of travelling at 80,000 kph, carry flight recorders and have emergency transporter systems.
	The Kolvoord Starburst maneuver involves 5 ships crossing within 10 metres of each other and igniting their plasma trails. It hasn't been performed at the Academy for over 100 years. It was banned because the last time it was performed in a training accident it killed all 5 cadet pilots.
	Cadet Sito Jaxa is a member of Nova Squadron (see "Lower Decks").
	Actor Robert Duncan McNeill (Cadet First Class Nicholas Locarno) went on to play the role of Lieutenant Thomas Eugene Paris in spinoff series Star Trek: Voyager.
