Fionnula Flanagan (Juliana) also appeared in DS9's first season episode "Dax" and Enterprise's "Fallen Hero".
	In the first draft, Soong created the Juliana android purely out of his own drive, not due to his love for her.
	Cut scenes from this episode included Troi counselling Data to talk to his mother about a hiccupping program Soong couldn't make work, and Juliana's husband Pran's distrust of androids like Data.
	The phaser bore hole which Data looked up through was a matte painting by Dan Curry.
	In the violin playing scene, the bow strings were muted with wax so no sound covers the dialogue. Music was later looped in.
	The shuttlecraft Fleming was a tip of the hat to the scientist who discovered Penicillin, Alexander Fleming.
	Biomimetic gel is mentioned here for the first time (see also "Bloodlines" and many DS9 episodes)
	A cut line has Riker referring to his experiences surfing on Risa'a Kattala Beach.
