 REVIEW by KARI EMIL HELGASON

Justice was a great episode, tacky in some ways, but a great piece of science fiction. Although never solved, the Edo god subplot was brilliant and I would have liked to learn more of it later. Sadly, that never happened. The other main Wesley story was great too. The acting has gone up three levels and Data is finally himself. Beverly is struggling in the most normal situations, but I see now, she's fantastic when playing emotional scenes. The spark between Riker and Troi is still there, but they act very false together. Something's off about their "They certainly are fit" -"Yes, they certainly are" - cheesy Bold and the Beautiful glance - scenes are funny, but not realistic. Tasha is a bit forced too, her pauses in speech remind me of Captain Kirk, but she doesn't bear
it well.

The Edo, were of course, completely human in every respect, besides their lovely utopian culture which was kind of sad, because it would have added to the alien aspect of them. They were very alien, but you didn't feel it because of the way they looked. The way people talked about the "Law" and the customs brought up questions. It seemed as if either the inhabitants of the planet all lived on one small part of the planet, or if the law and customs where only in one country, which would be realistic but not very Star Trek or, finally, they were just wording it wrong. They said there were only a few mediators at one zone at all times, but that would never have worked. The Edo also seemed to be very backwards and didn't possess much science or technology, but their buildings suggested otherwise. There were no cities in sight however... Strange...

The planet and society were not very realistic, the Edo might have had some make up, but overall a great story and plot.
